CLAMMING SEASON NOW OPEN
Gearhart residents hit the beaches.
Starting on the 1st of October, the most productive clamming beach on the West Coast is open. Del Rey Beach, just steps from The Reserve, is the loveliest stretch of white sand beach you will ever enjoy in the western United States.
A license is obtainable nearly anywhere – hardware stores, Fred Meyer, Home Depot, etc. for $7 for Oregon residents and $20.50 for non-Oregon residents. It includes crabbing as well if you wish to set some traps. The season is open for an indefinite period, so do not miss this opportunity to fill a bucket and enjoy your harvest.
